Clean Water, Healthy Communities, Sustainable Future
Our Strategy
Water For Life Alliance Kenya (WAFLAK) is a community-based organization dedicated to ensuring every person and animal in our communities has access to adequate clean water and proper sanitation.
Working across Kenya’s 47 counties, we tackle water scarcity through education, awareness creation, and community partnerships that empower people to harvest, conserve, and manage water resources sustainably.
WAFLAK’s strategy is built on three interconnected pillars: community mobilization at the grassroots level, youth empowerment through knowledge and ICT tools, and strategic partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
We meet people in their villages using practical demonstrations to teach water management skills, while training young people as water resource champions who use social media and technology to spread awareness rapidly across networks we couldn’t reach through traditional methods alone.
Our education programs utilize diverse communication channels—from Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and YouTube to physical materials like flyers, pamphlets, and banners—ensuring even those without internet access receive vital information.
We’ve built an extensive partnership network spanning community-based organizations across all 47 counties, academic scholars, research institutions, government parastatals like NEMA, and private sector allies who pool resources and coordinate efforts for greater impact. Together, we’re creating innovative solutions that neither sector could achieve independently.
