Clean Water, Healthy Communities, Sustainable Future
Expected Impact
Our work creates well-informed communities across Kenya who understand water as a precious resource requiring careful stewardship, fostering better behaviors in harvesting, storing, distributing, utilizing, recycling, and disposing of water.
The impact extends beyond water to health, education, and economic productivity—when children aren’t sick from waterborne diseases they attend school consistently, and when women aren’t walking hours to fetch water they can engage in income-generating activities.
Our Results
We’re seeing tangible results: reforested riverbanks, cleaner streams, revitalized wetlands, and communities that once allowed runoff to drain away now capture it for dry seasons.
We’re creating a continuous cycle of education and awareness that doesn’t end when our team leaves, as community water management committees carry forward the work and youth champions continue spreading awareness.
Adequate and clean water accessibility is becoming a reality in communities we serve through water points, boreholes, and harvesting systems.
Our ultimate impact is measured in lives transformed—every child drinking clean water, every woman with time for education or business, every farmer with irrigated crops, and every protected river sustaining wildlife represents the lasting legacy of WAFLAK's work.
