WAFLAK Youths

Empowering the Next Generation of Water Resource Champions.

Overview: WAFLAK Youth is a dynamic platform designed to harness the energy, creativity, and digital literacy of young Kenyans to solve the water crisis. We believe that youth are not just the leaders of tomorrow, but the most effective catalysts for change today. By integrating Information and Communication Technology (ICT) with environmental stewardship, we empower young people to become “Water Resource Champions” in their communities and online.

Key Pillars:

  • Digital Advocacy & ICT: Training youth to use social media and digital tools to spread awareness about water conservation, sanitation, and environmental protection across all 47 counties.

  • Innovation & Smart Farming: Engaging young minds in “Smart Farming” initiatives, teaching them how to use technology and sustainable methods to maximize water efficiency in agriculture.

  • Leadership & Mentorship: Building a national network of youth leaders who can manage community water committees and influence local water management policies.

  • The “Water Champion” Certification: A capacity-building program where youth undergo training in water purification, rainwater harvesting, and civic education to lead WAFLAK projects at the grassroots level.

Why Join?

  • Gain hands-on experience in environmental conservation and project management.

  • Access networking opportunities with researchers, government bodies (like NEMA), and private sector partners.

  • Be the voice for a sustainable, water-secure future.
